These terms apply to learnsyloti.com and to the iOS apps published by MD Shahariar Nazim Joy, including Learn Sylheti Language :Syloti and the other heritage-language apps linked from this site. By using the website or an app, you agree to these terms.

The website

Articles on this site are educational. They are not a substitute for a native speaker, a teacher, or professional translation. App Store buttons are invitations to download; Apple’s store terms apply once you leave this site.

You may not copy the site in bulk, scrape it in a way that harms the service, or present our content as your own product listing.

The apps

The apps are licensed to you by the developer through Apple. Licensed application end-user terms are Apple’s Standard EULA: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/.

Some apps can be opened free to download; full lessons, dictionaries or “houses” may require an in-app purchase. Some listings state that a purchase is required and that there is no free sample. Read the App Store page for the product you install.

Purchases, subscriptions and refunds

Payments are charged to your Apple ID. Monthly or yearly access, where offered, auto-renews unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends in Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Lifetime unlocks, where offered, are one-time purchases and do not renew.

Restore Purchases is available in the relevant app (paywall and/or Settings). Purchases follow the Apple Account that bought them.

Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple’s refund rules. Email us if you need help finding Restore or cancel, but we cannot reverse an App Store charge ourselves.

Learning content

Phrase lists, dialogues and script notes are teaching material. Varieties of a language differ by family and region. If a line does not match your household, your family’s usage is the authority. Some apps use on-device speech as a study aid; that voice is not always a commissioned native-speaker recording. The App Store description for each app says which is which.

Acceptable use

Do not reverse-engineer the apps except as allowed by law, attack the website, or use the materials to train a competing product in a way that copies our lesson structure wholesale.

Intellectual property

The Learn Syloti name, site design, and original article text are provided by the publisher. Apple, App Store and their logos are trademarks of Apple Inc. Language names and scripts belong to their communities; we do not claim ownership of Sylheti, Hmong, Chatgaiya, Sureth, Western Armenian, Ladino, Mirpuri or Pothwari as languages.

Disclaimer

The website and apps are provided as-is for personal, non-commercial language learning. We do not warrant that a phrase is the only correct form, that the apps will be uninterrupted, or that they will meet a school or visa requirement.
